SUMMARY: Google has introduced a new way to protect users from malware and the websites they are contained on through a new classification in their Safe Browsing initiative. This new classification warns users when the click on a link that goes to a webite reported to infringe upon web policies concerning malware, phishing, unwanted software, and social engineering. Once this warning appears, Google has to verify the site does not infringe upon anything but some websites only act innocent until Google verifies them. The sites then go back to their malicious ways. With this new classification, these sites will be classified as "Repeat Offenders" and will not be up for review from Google for 30 days.↵

OPINION: I think this is a great idea in protecting the safety of users. If these malicious websites contain malware, I want to be prevented from seeing these sites until the malware is gone. I hope this is a giant step in making the internet as safe as it can be, and not just be a big flop. I hope this works and I hope to feel a little safer when browsing the internet. §
